What Causes Pain In The Testicles?

I have pain in both testicle.. Like there is something attached to the testicle and its about the same size and hurts all the way up my groin into my abdomen. It gets worse when I have a bowel movement. I had hernia surgery 20 years ago and they put mesh screen in. Could this have dissolved and the hernia come back? I've been on the floor crying over this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms could be due to hydrocele, vericose vein of testis, recurrent hernia, epididymitis, cyst of epididymis. I would suggest to consult urologist as early as possible and undergo examination and blood tests like CBC, ESR and USG scan. Specific treatment will depend on the cause.

Meanwhile take Tablet diclofenac plus serritopeptidase. Wear pure cotton loose clothes. Avoid heavy weight lifting, wear supporting device and elevate the scrotum. Take hot fomentation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sagar
