What Causes Pain In The Rectum During Bowel Movement?

im 6 3 190pounds , have trouble passing a stool in my rectum , i expirence alot of pain when trying to pass , ive already took bisacodyl tablets and increased my water intake , tryed drinking a teaspoon or so of mineral oil , also tryed manually removing stool but could only get small peices, stool doesnt feel rock hard but is firm.. ive never needed laxitives of any sort or ever had trouble passing , i was on pain pills for a week or so but have been off for a few days now . i can still pass gas but there definitly blockage in my rectum i dont know if stool softeners would help at this point or not , im not expierencing any constant pain , only when trying to pass stool , should i keep taking laxitives or stool softeners , or will i have to manually remove it completly. thanks in advanced , any suggestions would be nice.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to use stool softeners, this may be more effective for you at this point.
An example of a stool softener is dulcolax which should be over the counter.

You may also want to increase your fiber intake by using high fiber foods (fruits, vegetables , whole grain foods) plus a fiber supplement.
Examples of fiber supplements are metamucil, benefiber, cetrucil.

Continue using a lot of fluids, not including any caffeine products or alcohol because these would actually cause the body to lose fluids.
At least 8 to 10 glasses daily.

I hope this helps
