What Causes Pain In The Legs?

I wake in the night with thigh muscle pain in both legs . It is more like an ache than a pain. I stretch my legs out straight and I often get up and walk for a minute or two. This helps me get back to sleep and I wake in the morning to the dull ache again. Once I am out of bed I m fine all day and it wakes me up again during the next night . Please I need some advice. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
i think you mean muscle cramp in your both thighs. try to take enough fluids in a day. if you sweat more or dehydrated due to any cause or doing overexercise it may cause muscle cramp . you may take muscle relaxants twice daily in full stomach with proton pump inhibitor for few days .
