What Causes Pain In The Groin And Testicles After Hitting?
i got hit in the balls pretty hard and it caused temporary pain and a numb feeling in my groin area just on the right side. pain went away......i go 2 the gym the next day and do squats at a pretty heavy weight with no problem. the next day i feel a pulling sensation in just my right groin area and balls, not to much pain but i go to the gym and start lifting and the pain intensifies and i have to stop. could it be just swelling in the groin that needs awhile to heal or could it be worse and be a hernia? it just doesnt make sense that there was no pain when i did squats but a day later it starts to hurt. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of trauma over the right groin and development of pain on day 3 after continuation of exercises. The commonest cause of such pain are: Testicular torsion. Local hematoma formation. Muscle spasm in response to trauma .
I would advise you the following: Get a clinical evaluation and examination by a General Surgeon or Urologist. Color Doppler and ultrasonography. This is urgent as testicular torsion needs immediate surgery. If other reasons are present, you need to be under observation andrdical treatment in the form of anti-inflammatory medicines, strict rest and to ckech for hematoma formation or development of hernia. Such trauma do not cause hernia. Take care
