Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing foot pain in both feet. I work on concrete and do a lot of walking for my job on a daily basis. My feet throb and hurt more gradually by the day. They seem to be swollen and have splotches of red around ankle area and on top of the feet. I know that I am overweight and that s a problem, but what could this be signs of?
Do you have Diabetes?, Cardiac problems or on any medication?. These and other organ ailment can cause leg and feet swelling. More so since you are on your feet for long. The best way to prevent feet and leg swelling is to wear grade 2 compression stockings from toes to knees, in the morning when the swelling is minimal, wear it throughout the day, and remove it while sleeping.
