What Causes Pain In The Coccyx Post Injury From An Accident?
I slipped and fell backwards from my truck step. I caught myself by the door handle and steering wheel, so I didn t actually hit the ground at all. But I am having a lot of pain by my tailbone. Could I have strained ligaments or tendons by bending so sharply at the hip mid-fall?

You have coccydynia. Apply ice. Perform Sitz bath twice a day. Eat diet rich in roughage to prevent constipation which can cause pain. Take pain killers. Avoid prolonged sitting.
