What Causes Pain In The Calves Post A Tubal Ligation?
I had foot surgery 2.5 weeks ago on both feet. I had a tubal ligation and ablation 5 days ago. About 2-3 days ago I started experiencing persistant Charlie horse like pain in both my calves. Was this caused by the surgery? Should I be eating more potassium to get rid of cramping?
Hi Thanks for trusting healthcaremagic for your health problems.
First of all I have to know which type of foot surgery has been done on feet? Tubal ligation is not a major surgical procedure and usually not cause problem related to muscles (pain in calf). So It can not be due to tubal surgery. Please confirm low blood potassium level before taking extra pottasium supplementation. You can take tablet Ibuprofen 8 hourly for 1-2 days to relieve calf pain. If still pain persist consult surgeon.
