What Causes Pain In The Calf?

The other evening I began getting calf pain. Then it moved to behind the knee, above, toward the thigh. The top of my foot and several toes ached. The skin was hypersensitive to touch as well. What the heck is that? I couldn t sleep. The next day I was a little better but it was still sore.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.

The symptoms that you are having are likely to be related to benign causes like electrolyte imbalance, vitamin D and B 12 deficiency, etc. Most of the times these symptoms can be taken care of by taking electrolyte rich fluids, vit D and Methylcobalamin supplements. To have better relief, drugs like gabapentin are helpful. But these are prescription medicines and are best if taken under the guidance of your doctor.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
