What Causes Pain In The Arm After Insertion Of Nexplanon?

Hi, I ve had the nexplanon in my arm since the beginning of last year. I ve never really had any problems with it, except it will throb or a sharp pin will come from it time from time. I somewhat got into an altercation on Friday & was grabbed by my arm alot right where my birth control is. Ever since, it feels like it s so much more on the surface now than it was before. It s also been throbbing more. Is it possible that it s been pushed out of place or something? Should I go see a doctor?

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for examination. It should be palpable because it is placed subdermally. It is less likely to get misplaced by pressure, but for your pain, you can take some pain killers. You can do a x-ray or ultrasound to confirm it's position. Hope it helps.
