hi im 22 years old and i noticed a lump on my left testical 3 years ago and went to 2 different doctors and had an ultra sound done and they all said it was benign. Well about 3 months ago ive been having pains on my left testical and my lower back. My urine is really yellow and has a strong smell which i never had before. I also noticed my testicals have shrunk. Just to add something i have been drinking alot of alcohol. So i was wondering if you can kind of give me an idea of what my problem might be. Is it testicualr cancer or kidney stones or what. Thank you
Hi, what was the complete report of the ultrasound? can you send it to us? You can upload the report if you ask a Direct question. If it is an epididymal cyst and causing you pain then you can see a Surgeon and get it removed by a small operation. Though a cyst should not decrease the size of the testicle. If it is a Varicocele( vein swellings in the scrotum) then it can cause a decrease in testicular size and this also can be treated surgically. To be sure that it is not Testicular cancer you will need to see a Urologist or an Oncosurgeon who can examine you and advice some tests like AFP, HCG, LDH along with a CT Scan at max. But only if you have any signs of the same which he will know once he examines you. So donot worry and see either of the above Surgeons or upload your Ultrasound report for us to see. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
