Hytrin contains terazosin. Its common side effects are
postural hypotension, dizziness, headache, weakness, back pain,
nasal congestion, peripheral swelling, somnolence, nausea, palpitations, facial swelling, pruritus, rash, impotence,
blurred vision, and weight gain. These are seen in early stage of treatment and often resolve with progress of time once you achieve a stable dose of Hytrin.
Advice
1. Continue Hytrin as suggested by your doctor
2. Azelastine
nasal spray every 12 hours for 10 days
3. Omeprazole 20 mg orally daily for 10 days
4. Start workout like walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming
5. Take diet rich in whole grains, fruits, and vegetables
6. Avoid oily and
high cholesterol foods such as egg yolk and milk products etc
7. Eat less salt
8. Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and caffeinated beverages
9. Lose extra weight if you are overweight
10. Reduce your metal stress because stress activates sympathetic system and increases BP
11. Monitor your BP regularly
