What Causes Pain In Stomach After A Hysterectomy?

I just had a hysterectomy post op 3 weeks tomorrow. A week and a half ago sharp pain started on my right side. I had my left ovary, my cervix, and uterus all removed including the tube to my right ovary, but kept the ovary itself in....I went to the local er with pain as suggested by surgeon that is hours away, they are saying i do not have a cyst and saw no markings or anything when doing my procedure. The CT scan is showing the following There is a 4.8 x 4.3 x 5.3 cm mass in the right side of the pelvis. What else could this be other than a cyst and is it possible for one to arise that quickly after my procedure? I go back to my surgeon on wednesday but this pain is awful!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The mass could be your ovary and nothing else. The pain ciyld have been triggered by the formation of scar tissue or even vascular pain which can occur a while after the procedure.

Either way, I would recommend a visit to your doctor for further management as this will have to be looked into. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
