What Causes Pain In Shoulder And Rib With Difficulty In Breathing?

I woke up two nights ago with left shoulder and rib pain, it hurt to breath so I went to the ER. They ruled out tension phnemothorax with an X-ray and said I probably have a pulled muscle or something. It still hurts but is worse when I lie down and is relived by a hot shower. I had right elbow surgery two months ago so I ve been using my left side a lot. What could be causing this pain, when I take a deep breath my shoulder pain spikes and so does my left rib cage.

Have you been experiencing any gastric symptoms like heartburn, excessive burping, or abdominal bloating, or bitter taste in your mouth due to fluid or food regurgitation into your mouth, etc.? If so, then this is your problem and you should either write back to me using our premium service or visit your doctor for a gastric check.
