What Causes Pain In Ribs Under Breast?

hi, I have had pain in my left ribs, directly under my breast for a few days now. It doesn t hurt to breathe, but sometimes bending over it aches. Pressing on the ribs doesn t increase the pain, but upon release of the pressure it gets much sharper. I had a double mastectomy several years ago with reconstruction, so I know my pectoral muscle is not strong, nor ever will be.

I have studied your case and I think you need proper investigation for this type of pain. I would recommend you to get a chest x ray and ECG examination to see if there is every thing is normal with the heart or not. Some time a heart pain can cause such symptoms. If there is heart related problem than you can further investigate it.
other possibility is that it can be due to reactivation of the tumour. So it is better if we can get a clinical examination by your doctor who can confirm that what is causing it.
If both of these causes can be rule out that you can just take pain killer and relax. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
