What Causes Pain In Rib Cage Of A 7 Year Old?

Hello, my 7yr old daughter has had pain in her left side under rib cage. She said it feels like a bruise. The pain has gone up to her left armpit. She hasn t been eating good and looks a bit pale. Any ideas?.. I give her ibuprofen and she feels a bit better after taking it. She s not as hyper as usual and she s been really sleepy. She will just lay down but not actually fall asleep.

Hello,

I have studied your case.

I will advise you to consult your doctor for clinical examination.
Due to compression of this nerve root there can be pain in your rib.

I will advise you to do MRI thoracic spine, HRCT [CHEST] and EMG- NCV [nerve conduction study]
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
