What Causes Pain In Nipples During Breast Feeding?

Dear Sir/Madam
It is to inform you that I am a mother of a 17 days old girl. I am breastfeeding my child from the very first day she is born. Would like to inform you that i am having high pain in my nipples during breastfeeding. I am having good amount of milk but my baby doesn't have it completely. I take out the milk through hand also to remove the heaviness of the breasts. I have also tried Nipcare creme, and breast pumps. Everything i have tried to get off this pain, however i have failed in all d aspects. Please let me know if you can help me out this pain off.

Thanks and regards,
Sweety Rani

Hi. This is normal in newly breast feeding mothers, You are having engorged breasts. You can use breast pump and extract extra milk. Use proper support to the breast and feed the baby from both sides one by one, Take anti inflammatory for pain releif. you can also try cold fomentation on breast. Do not take any galactogogue or drugs like perinorm. You can consult your treating dr.
thanks.
