What Causes Pain In Neck And Throat?

I ve been getting pain in my neck (from the base all the way to the lining of my jaw to the point behind my ears) and throat for some time now. I ve been getting sharp pains, pressure, swelling, and painful strains that do not go away now as it used to happen sometimes, then frequently, and now only fades but I can still feel it there. I ve also noticed when I sing it along with my vocals hurt too. At first, I thought it was because I was singing to high and low so I thought I d take it easy and just sing within a short range closer to my speaking voice. But I ve noticed it s gotten worse by even doing this. I feels like losing my voice but when I sing. I do get the pain I previously spoke about before when I am just talking and even when I don t speak to be more descriptive. I was wondering if they have any correlation and what could be going on?
