What Causes Pain In Mouth While Swallowing?

I have severe pain in the bottom left and front side of my mouth. No sores. It is a throbbing pain and it gets more severe when I swallow. There may be swelling where my tongue attaches to my jaw in the soft tissue. I have had it for three days and it is getting worse.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that pain in mouth while swallowing along with swelling can be due to causes like swollen salivary gland while can also be due to causes like tooth infection leading to swelling and pain..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

As of now take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Take a soft diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
