Pulmonologist 's  Response
thanks for your question
I completely understand your question
pleural effusion occurs in the pleural cavity that is the covering of lungs ,
when there is effusion pain is due to pleuricy that is inflammation of the pleura.
after the pleural effusion is healed , as it heals by pleural fibrosis or thickening the streaching of the healing pleura causes pain
no need to worry
this pain can continue for variable time.
complete pleural fibrosis and cure takes time , so you need to consult a pulmonologist to evaluate the situation
thanks
feel free to ask more questions
may god bless you with good health
