Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have lower right abdominal pain that is moderate to severe. It has been off and on for a few months. it is more off than on. When sneeze or cough it is so severe I double over. Each time it occurs, it seems longer and the pain is worse for sure. It is sometimes up by hip and sometimes in the inquinal area. A few trips to the ER, a CT, and an ultrasound has been done. The most they came up with was cysts. I have had cysts before and this isn't the same pain. I've had a partial hysterectomy. I also have diverticulitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Sorry for the lengthy question but I wanted my history known. I would like another opinion and I don't have insurance so a trip to the doctor right now can't happen. Please help.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it appears to be the urinary tract infection, or a stone in the ureter near the bladder.the other possibilities may be the tuberculosis of the iliocaecal junction, or pain of the colon as well. Most probable cause may be the urinary tract infection. If not found by tests, culture and sensitivity may be required. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms cifixime, ranitidine, and dicyclomine and mefanamic acid. wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
