What Causes Pain In Lower Chest And Back Post Gym Work Out?

I was at the gym today did leg press machine now I have sharp pain on my right side rib cage/back area. I m taking ibuprofen and I got icy hot patches to put on. I think I just strained it. It felt like a cramp while I was doing the exercise so I d just paused and continued guess I was wrong.

What you are doing is right.
Apply diclofenac gel as well, it should improve in few hours time, if not see a doctor.
