Hi! thanks for sharing your health problem with us!
Whenever a patient comes to my clinic with lower abdomino-
pelvic pain, I first take a detailed history in relation to any surgery, recent medicines, any chronic illness, infections, aggravating cause etc. etc. and thereafter I go for a detailed physical examination including per-rectal and per-vaginal examination if needed!
However, as per your description there could be some reasons behind this kind of sharp,
severe pain following sexual intercourse:
1.
injury to uterine ligaments/cervix
2. torsion / inversion of ovary /uterus
3. injury to urinary bladder
4. nerve or vessel injury
But as the pain subsided itself and now is limited to a dull ache, some infection in the cervix,
rectum or urinary bladder should also be excluded. Therefore, please see your gynecologist for some tests like urine, stool, PAP and
ultrasound etc.
Also don't forget to write to us in case any more queries.
wishing you good health!
