ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, you seem to be having acute pharyngitis and the initial light pain was the beginning of may be a viral infection which gradually got superimposed with bacterial infection. Pain near your adams apple is mostlikely because of inflammation of the submandibular lymphnodes. Please do steam inhalation, antiseptic gargles and take an analgesic and things should be fine in a day or two. In case the problem persists or increases please consult an ENT and you may need to start an antibiotic. Regards
