What Causes Pain In Left Foot Between Ankle And Toes?
I have a pain in my left foot on the outer aspect about midway between the ankle and toes. It is on the side, not the bottom. It hurts to raise my foot if I have been standing on it with my weight balanced between my two feet unless I slowly shift my weight off of the left foot to the right. Neither heat or cold help and ibuprofen, naproxen sodium, and Tylenol only dull the pain for a little while. I hurt the foot on the 7th of January.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in left foot between ankle and toes . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cons and callus , bursitis , injury, diabetic neuropathy , gout , plantar fasciitis , rheumatoid arthritis or tendinitis . Injruy with stone under the foot can also cause such symptoms .I would suggest you to put your foot in hot water tub with epsom salt in it for 15 minutes daily , do not wear shoe for few days , do gentle massage with flax seed oil and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , MRI along with physical examination . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory along with recommend physical therapy . Doctor may also refer you to podiatrist , who may recommend orthotic device after careful examination as there are few pressure points which can cause problem .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
