What Causes Pain In Larynx Radiating To Neck And Shoulder During Pregnancy?

Hi, I m 15 weeks pregnant and before that I have had acid reflux since a few years. I have medications for that, which help wonderfully. Since my pregnancy I haven t had any trouble with it yet. Since a few days my throat, or better: larynx, is painful. ONLY on the right side. Feels like a bruise and the pain radiates to my shoulders and back of my neck. It s painful when I swalloq, talk and eat..each day the pain seems to subside a bit. I thought maybe I have slept in a wrong position. My doctor is now checking my blood just to make sure my thyroid is okay. What do you think? I don t cough and don t have a fever.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if you had a history of hyperacidity then it may comes back in gestation period and even it is common in pregnancy even in absence of this, I would advise you do not take any medicine for this but try to divide your meal in three part avoid spicy and acidic diet, instead eat more alkali diet fruit salt can be taken, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
