My mother (aged 83) generally good health. phoned me just now to say she is experiencing right leg/knee pain (she has never had problem before) and cannot put pressure on leg - in general cannot walk. she tried to walk earlier today and she was unable to walk leg/knee would not hold up. She did go to doctor this morning and he had done xrays and nothing is broken or fractured.
Hi, From history it seems that she might be having osteoartheritis of knee joint giving rise this problem. There might be having osteoporosis at this age giving more problem. Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. give her NSAID medicine for symptomatic pain relief. Give her calcium, vitamin A and D supplements. Ok and take care.
