What Causes Pain In Abdomen And Upper Rib After An Angiogram?

I have been having pain from upper rib area and in abdomen on my right side ever since I had an angiogram to look at my brain after they did surgery for ruptured aneurysm . Now that i am in physical therapy to get my physical strength back I am having severe soreness in these areas . I feel fine otherwise . I want to continue my therapy but this painful sore area along up my right side is hard to manage.

Hi welcome to HCM.
Its possible to have some chest discomfort following any angiogram procedure due to the inherent nature of the contrast material used. This can be quite normal and will resolve with time.Soreness in the concerned area can be relieved with steroid ointments and ibuprofen.Have a regular follow up of your wound area, with the concerned surgeon.Consult your doctor for further queries.Thank you
