What Causes Pain, Discomfort And Itchiness In Incision Area Post C Section?

Hi, I had my first child via c-section 3 months ago. My abdominal area was very sore in the first two months and improved day by day. Now, for the last 3 days I am having pain on the incision. The pain is negligible. I am okay during the day but at night I can feel a little pain and discomfort. it hurts if I trace my finger on the incision. And it itches all day long. I am bothered, can I develop an infection this late? I do not have any swelling or redness and no discharge from the incision.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having painful C-section scar.
Due to some adhesion and fibrosis formed under scar might give some tenderness and itching.
there is less likely of having infection.
Apply triple action cream for few days.
Ok and take care.
