Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a sharp pain in my right side below my rib cage and above my hip bone. The pain can get so severe that I can barely stand and cannot find a comfortable position to lay down. The severe pain last for about 20 minutes but then begins to subside. Laying on a heating pad helps relieve the pain but it is never completely gone. Could this be a kidney stone?
You have pain in your lumbar region. This could very well be related to kidney stones. You should get an ultrasound whole abdomen and CT scan abdomen if required to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment will be prescribed by your urologist
