What Causes Pain Below The Left Rib Cage?

I am having some pain just below my left rib cage. Pain is when I either touch lower ribs in front or just behind that. Not too severe and no apparent swelling...that I can feel. Been feeling it for about 2 weeks...sometimes accentuated after eating.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Ribcage pain occur most commonly due to muscle strain due to excess muscle pull and trauma.
Take following advises:
Take a full bed rest. Take Ibuprofen three times a day after food and with Ranitidine for next 5-6 days.
Apply a rubrafacient liniment locally.
Apply warm pad application.
Do not lie on the painful side. Avoid stressful activity.
If pain will not responds then go for chest X-ray and ECG to rule out pulmonary and heart problem.
