What Causes Pain At The Base Of Skull And Shooting Pain Behind The Eyes?

Hi, I m an 18 year old female. I get frequent migraines, but last month I experienced a headache unlike any other. It was constant at the base of my skull with intermittent spurts of sharp, shooting pain behind my eyes. I went to the ER multiple times. I was given a shot of tordal and prescribed hydrocodone, both of which did not ease the pain. After about 3 weeks, I started experiencing numbness in my face and scalp which eventually spread throughout the entire left side of my body. I went back to the ER and they hooked me up to an IV to give me fluids and a mixture of tordal and cortisol. They finally were able to knock out the headache, but the numbness remained. That was on August 7. Now it s September, and I m still experiencing numbness. The numbness becomes worse when I exercise or when I get overheated (like taking a hot shower). I get tired very easily and have been very fatigued. I am an athlete, so this is not normal for me. I see spots and flashing lights in my vision and I nearly fall over every time I stand up from lightheadedness. My neurologist said my CT and my MRI were both normal and my blood work was normal as well. I really just want to know what s going on with my body. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the MRI and CT imaging study are normal and not even have any clinical symptoms that proves or support neurological disease then it is nothing to worry all of the symptoms that you are having could be nonspecific one and may be functional one, try to control your thoughts and be positive, everything would be fine soon, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
