What Causes Pain Around Iris And Lens Of Eyes?

Hello I m suffering with sevear pain around the iris and lens of my eye, it s like a stabbing/throbbing pain, the other day I had 2 hours of almost full blindness, I couldn t see past anything that was a metre or more away, I have been to the GP and he says it s conjuntivitis, because my eye is red and does have discharge coming from it, I have had it for a week now and have been treating it with drops, and other medication, (amoxasillin, pain killers and cold and flu) This hasn t helped and the pain is unbareable, What options do I have? Thankyou, Mr S Bellyou

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
as perinformation it may be iridocyclitis an autoimune disorder. this will give rise to rednessdue to ciliary congetion, clouding of vision because of flare. it requeres examination by eye doctor in slit lamp. treatment with dexamethasone drop is essential after confirming the diagnosis.
