What Causes Pain And Swelling On The Left Foot?

My daughter s left foot is painfully swollen and she also has pain in her ankle. there was no trauma to the foot and I was wondering if it s possible for her to have gout, she is only 20 years old. I have taken her to the er and they did xrays and found no broken bones or blood clot. I am at a loss as to whom to take her to..should I consult a podiatrist?

it can be throbophlebitis apply crepe bandage and raiseherlegwith pillow at bed time. can take analgesic like combiflam and apply cold compression.
