What Causes Pain And Swelling On Knee?

Hello.I m 27 years old and I exercise regularly. Weight lifting, basketball, and running for the most part. I was out for a run a few days ago and went for a short sprint. During the sprint, I had an awkward feeling in my knee. This forced me to stop. Now, when I try to fully extend my leg,the knee pops with minor pain. Same when I walk down stairs or try to put too much weight on it. There s also a little swelling on the knee.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
