What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Wrists, Fingers And Feet?

Hello Dr. I am having a movable pain like it started 2 to 3 months back. The pain started from wrist then in finger the pain stays for 1 or 2 day then it change to right arm or left arm. Then I had a swelling in my foot. I am taking the medicine are indicap, folitrex 10, sazo 500 Rabium.

Hello there. I have read through your question and would like to tell you that pain in fingers,arm and foot can be because of a few reasons, the most common being osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arhritis or gout. In case of osteoarthritis pain is mainly in the weight bearing areas like knees and foot. An Xray of the effected joint can help in diagnosis. In rheumatoid arthritis there is morning stiffness along with pain which is relieved as the day progresses. An RA factor along with anti ccp can help in diagnosis. for gout you have to get a blood uric acid done. Treatment will depend upon the diagnosis. For now you can keep on taking the indicap , apply local heat and anti inflammmatory sprays which are available over the counter.
