What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Lower Abdomen?

My husband has been having pain and swelling in his lower abdomen. He feels a pulling sensation and 1 testicle is swollen and enlarged. When he pushes on a lump in his lower abdominal area, it seems to move down and the pain and pressure are slightly relieved. He consulted his Dr. and was checked for a hernia, but they didn t find anything at the time. He also had a ultrasound of his testicles but it didn t find the cause either. It seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain and swelling of testis can be due to inflammation or more seriously torsion.
Torsion is evident on ultrasound.
Infection and inflammation of testis is not evident on ultrasound.
A complete history and examination are required to know exact cause of swelling.

Thanks and take care
