Thank you for your query.
Would you please clarify a few things for me?
1)how old are you?
2)are you a diabetic, hypertensive or hyperlipidemic?
3) do you have any history of
heart disease, Hypothyroidism?
4)any history of heart burn, gastritis or
gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)?
Pleuritic pain (pain on deep breathing) is common in lung pathology (like infection for instance). This may settle on its own in a few days.
Pleuritic pain that is associated with breathing difficulty and chest pain should be immediately checked out in the ER (if your physician can't see you right away)
Heart related causes should be ruled out. An infection,
pneumothorax (air trapped between the membranes that cover the lung- due to violent cough, trauma), need to be excluded as well.
Other symptoms like giddiness,
severe pain between your shoulder blades,
profuse sweating, high fever (more than 102F) warrant an ER consult.
Hope I've been helpful.
Please get back to us if you need further clarification.
Wish you good health
