What Causes Pain And Numbness Feeling While Tilting My Head?

I have pain when tilting my head back, I get sharp pains in the back of my neck that seems to go down my neck and into my sholder then down my sholder blade all on my right side. I have tried heating pads, ice, bengay rubs, all I can figure is it has something to do with typing for 30 yrs? I have tried streching nothing helps, no over the counter pain pills help? I have been having this for over a few months and it seems to be getting worse. My mucles also seem weak at times. And sometimes I get a numbness feeling in my back sholder blade. But the pain is bad and never goes away.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I can understand your problem and this seems to me a cervical spondylitis, you have to stop the tilting of your head or bending it, because such movement will aggravate the symptoms, first thing you need to do is go for x-ray study to get it confirm, meanwhile you can use the cervical collar, when you start using this collar this may induce the pain initially, so no need to worry, take care and have nice day.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, you get sharp pains in the backof your neck, down to shoulder, then to shoulder blade, and all right side.
As you have assumed there is possibility of the cause of the typing. By keeping the level of the mission suitable to your eye you can have relief.
The other possibility may be the cervical spondylosis.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically along with pain medication.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. thank you.
