What Causes Pain And Knot Under The Thumb After An Injury?
I fell the other day and hit my wrist really hard agains a stair rail it s swollen my figures are numb and I can t move my wrist well without wanting to scream really loud my doc said that there wasn t anything major but now my mom is starting to think it could be fractured. Is it possible it could be? There is also a huge knot under my thumb on my wrist
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you hit your wrist .Following this you are having swollen wrist and fingers .your doctor said there is nothing major, but your mother is worried about fracture. As your wrist movements are causing much pain, it can be fracture specially small bones such as scaphoid fracture which goes unnoticed. So I advise you to get your x-ray wrist AP,lateral and oblique view to exclude fracture. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
