What Causes Pain And Itching In Vagina?

I ve been experiencing very itchiness and soreness in the vagina area and around the vulva. I am very sore and find it hard to pass urine, as it just burns. I ve been prescribed antibiotics which I ve completed and also been prescribed canestone pessary and cream. But after putting the pessary in 10 hours ago it is all coming out of the vagina now and I am bleeding quite a lot is this normal or should I go back to the doctor for extra advice?

Hello
welcome to HCM

Thanks for your question

i had gone through your question and i think you are suffering from bacterial vaginitis which occurs due to disturbance in normal flora of bacteria into vagina. when i found such kind of patients in my clinic i am treating her with following treatment.

some medications as well as some precautions are necessary.

fluconazole for 3 days after meal which eliminate the fungal growth from vagina
some intravaginal capsules are also available which helps to maintain the normal flora. patient can put this capsule every night before sleep for seven days. these treatmnts are taken only under the supervision of physician

use clotrimazole powder after perspiration, bathing, and swimming

do not wash vagina to much

do not wash vagina and groin area with soap it will alter normal PH of vagina and invite bacteria

use v-wash or clean and dry or intimate area wash two ties in a day for washing vaginal area it will maintain normal PH and bacterial flora

wear cotton based , fresh and clean underwear

do not use soap which leads to excessive dryness. use tea tree oil for toipical external application which has strong anti fungal activity

use topical application of clotrimazole thrice a day will help you a a lot.

you need to maintain personal hygiene, drink lots of water, keep your vagina clean, need to void following sexual intercourse, and have a healthy diet. If your immunity is decreased, to tend to be more prone for infections.hope I was helpful to you.

Hope this may help you
thanks
