What Causes Pain And Edema In Legs Post Arthroscopic Surgery Of Knee?

Hi I had an arthroscopic surgery of my knee to remove torn meniscus and the surgeon also scarped arthritis. It has been over three months since the surgery, and I still have a lot of effusion, edema and extreme pain when walking. It literally is 10 times worse than before the surgery. Blood work shows things normal and there is no infection, just worsening arthritis per x-rays and another MRI. What can I do to relieve the inflammation and edema?

Hi there..sir... as your blood work up is normal and theres no infection.. arthritis can be treated with both steroids and pain killers. Your rheumatologist might suggest a steroid injection into your painful joint ( cortisone) which is best done by the experts.you might be put back on Methotrexate increased dosage to reduce the inflammation.Kindly consult the specialist for medications dosages and duration.
