What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation In The Esophagus?

I am taking clindomyacin. I took a pill just before bed and woke up with pain in my esophagus. I can breathe fine. When I swallow food or drink liquids I feel pain and burning, and the feeling of something being stuck, but everything is passing into my stomach. There are some spasms after I swallow. What can I do to calm my esophagus?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problems you are experiencing appears that you could be having drug induced acid reflux disease.
Kindly take Tablet. Pantoprazole with Domperidone combination on empty stomach until you finish your course of medications.
Avoid intake of spicy and oily foods during this period.
Also, consume small quantities of soft and easily digestible foods at frequent intervals. Drink good quantity of water.
Your symptoms should subside gradually by undertaking above measures.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
