Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a dermoid cyst removed in March of this year, but I still have pain on that side a couple of weeks a month. My GYN can t seem to figure out what is causing it. I m starting to feel like she thinks I m making it up. Also, I m trying to get pregnant and wondering if this will cause any problems conceiving.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain after dermoid cyst removal . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection after surgery or some other reasons like appendicitis , kidney or gallstone pain . I would suggest you to consult gynecologist again to rule out possibilities of post surgery complications . Although pain occur sometimes after the surgery , but in your case its been long , so consult another gynecologist . Doctor may order ultrasound , colonoscopy or MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to gastroenterologist for gastric problem . For now apply warm compresses and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
