What Causes Pain Above Incision Site After A Myomectomy?
I had a myomectomy 1.5 weeks ago...had 3 fibroids removed (the biggest being 13.5 cm). My incision is not painful, it is the area above it that I am experiencing "streaks" of pain and uncomfortableness. Within the past two days I have developed a hardened area above and below my incision (it is hard and raised). I have read this can be a sign of infection, or is it normal in some cases?
thank you for posting your query on hcm, when incision heals,it forms keloid type scar at incision site which is hard. but if there is infection, there are symptoms of inflammation like redness, swelling, pain and hotness locally around incision. if there is imflammation you should got examined by surgeon who operated you and start antibiotics to prevent further infection.otherwise it is normal healing at incision site which becomes hard and raised sometime.
hope this answer will be helpful to you. for more queries plz don't hassitate to ask.
