What Causes Numbness On The Right Outer Thigh?

Hi,
I am 64 years of age and have developed a numbness on the outside of my right thigh. It started with a few warm flushes. I didn't have an accident and I don't have any pain and I don't have a history of back problems. It has lasted about 5 days now (i.e. since the first flushes). Thanx in advance for your advice!

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The presence of numbness and warm flushes on the outer aspect of thigh could be due to irritation or inflammation of the nerve supplying that area.
There could be a injury to the nerve in a previous accident that you have mentioned.
You need to consult a neurologist for clinical examination, nerve conduction study and thus management.

Thanks and take care
