What Causes Numbness On The Lips?

My upper and lower lips on my left side just went numb for about 40seconds! I also was over heated and slightly light headed. I m 70, , in really good shape, vegetarian, don t drink, don t do drugs, exercise, meditate, and love life . Am visiting my grandson and family in Texas for another week then home to Cal. I don t want to be an alarmist. Should Ibe concerned, go to hospital or take aspirin. Or what?

Hello, Sir
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.

I would like to know whether you have any hypertension, as there is a possibility to get some nerve palsy at this elderly age, this risk may increase if you are hypertensive, alcoholic etc, but you have mentioned that you dont drink.

I would advise you to consult your physician without delay (before starting aspirin), if this symptom persists or appears again, in the meanwhile you can take some neurobion injections or B-complex tablets mainly vit - B12.

Also check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these medications to you.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
