Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I often experience numbness at the top end of my ear. Not only that, there were times both arms even though I do not lean on any of it upon sleep. Upon waking up they are both numb but no pain. When I shake it off, numbness disappear. I also experience constant ear pulse in right ear everyday nonstop especially at night before going to bed.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Numbness on the ear suggests nerve related disorder. Nerve irritation, nerve compression etc can lead to numbness of the ear. Ear pulse suggests a vascular abnormality in the ear. Thus, a Doppler of the head and neck region is also required besides clinical assessment.
Thus, consult your ENT specialist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum May be due to cold exposure. Pulsations may be due to pressure on the ear from compression. Try vitamin supplements for some days to get relief. All the best.
