What Causes Numbness On Lips And Forehead?

I have had a spot of my left lip numb but today it has gone to where from my forehead down my neck is numb left side only I have had some numbness in my arm and tingling but I have know pain what so ever just this numb feeling. Should I be concern I have had no injury and have done nothing different. What should I get checked out for and with who?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern . As per your query you have numbness on one side starting from lip and spread to neck and arm . Well the symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards nerve dysfunction . There can be many reasons for such symptoms like bell's palsy , diabetic neuropathy , acoustic neuroma and trigeminal neuralgia . I would suggest you to consult neurologist without any delay because these can be symptoms of stroke . Doctor may order various test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory or refer you to the cardiologist . For now start facial exercises , give warm compresses and start physical therapy of affected area .
