What Causes Numbness In Scalp And Soreness At The Skull Base?

I was given sulfamethoxazone for a uti on Tuesday I am now experiencing some numbness on the left side of my scalp from about my temple to just below my ear. there is a small sore spot on the protruding bone of my skull at the base of my ear. No other pain or headache. Should I just call the VA in the morning or be concerned now?
