Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of numbness on side of face along with lack of movement seems to be due to a nerve related disorder known as Facial Nerve PALSY or BELL'S PALSY..
Facial nerve is seventh cranial nerve that supply motor senses to muscles of face and any disturbances in its function like traumatic injury, infection, nerve compression can lead to paralysis of affected side of face..
Cold and sinus congestion can be due to Viral infection causing common cold and it is not appearing related to his numb face..
It should be immediately taken into consideration and you should consult a Neurologist and get evaluated and x Ray, MRI Scan and blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
The Physician can initially advice Steroid and Multivitamin supplements..
You can also be advised to doo warm compresses over affected side..
In case of infection that is commonly due to Herpes virus antiviral medication can be advised..
If eye is not being closed an eye mask can be worn to protect the eye as well as Artificial tear drops can be instilled if eye dries.
In case if there is nerve compression by any artery nerve decompression known as Microvascular Decompression can be done..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
